COVID-19

Here you’ll find the latest information on how we are dealing with the current crisis.

We’re Preparing to Welcome You Back

SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY

Although due to the Covid-19 pandemic we cannot yet set dates for our new season, we have had many patrons inquire about the plays we are planning to produce for our upcoming season. To meet that enthusiasm, we will proceed with our season announcement but leave the performance dates open until the State and County Health Officials give clearance for theatrical performances to resume and we feel it is safe for us to do so.

Because of the unusual and unpredictable nature of current circumstances we are outlining in detail how we expect a new season to proceed. We are developing plans to address a new way of working and welcoming you when it is safe to open the doors of the Colligan Theater again. Those plans include:

    • Many of the plays we’ve selected for our new season have no intermission in order to reduce crowding in the lobby.
    • The doors to both the lobby and the house will open earlier and stay open later to allow for less crowding on the way to and from your seats.
    • We will be following all Health department guidelines regarding cleaning and disinfecting.
    • We will have procedures to ensure as little touch contact as possible between our staff and our patrons.

With the health and safety of our audiences and employees being our priority, we are closely monitoring the status of the COVID-19 pandemic and following guidance from the Center for Disease Control as well as State and County public health officials regarding Stay at Home order and restrictions of group gatherings. We are therefore moving all performances of HEISENBERG to our upcoming season (September or later) and we are cancelling our production of ARMS AND THE MAN. If you already purchased tickets to one or both of these productions, as a subscriber or single ticket holder, you can 1) donate your ticket(s) as a charitable contribution to assist Jewel Theatre Company, 2) have us hold your ticket(s) for a play you select in our next season, or 3) request a refund. Please contact our box office at BoxOffice@JewelTheatre.net or call (831) 425-7506 to tell them which option you choose.

We appreciate the encouragement and financial support coming in from so many of you. Your donations are going a long way to ensure we can keep our core staff employed and planning our new season which we look forward to presenting once this crisis has passed.
